Our Story and Mission

Get Maid Agency was born from a simple belief: finding the right domestic helper shouldn’t feel like a gamble.

Over 20 years ago, we began our journey in Hong Kong and not behind a desk, but on the ground. We travelled extensively to the Philippines and Indonesia, spending months (not days) building genuine relationships with local communities, training centres, and families. We didn’t just partner with agencies overseas, we established our own operations there, giving us firsthand insight into the backgrounds, skills, and aspirations of the helpers we place.

This hands-on approach meant we could personally vet candidates, understand their strengths, and match them thoughtfully with Hong Kong families. We built something rare in this industry: trust on both sides of the hiring equation.

Then came Covid-19. When borders closed and the government halted worker arrivals, we faced an impossible choice. We had to downsize, closing operations we’d spent years nurturing. It was heartbreaking. But we never stopped caring, and we never lost the expertise we’d built.

Today, we’re a smaller, leaner team and that’s become our strength.
